Barcelona captain Xavi has revealed his picks for this year's FIFA Ballon d'Or - and believes Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't deserve a place in the top three.
The midfield maestro has questioned Ronaldo's favourite status in the competition, insisting that the Portuguese star "did not do much at the World Cup" and revealing that his Real Madrid rival wouldn't even make it into his own selections.
Madeira-born Ronaldo picked up the annual gong in 2013 and many pundits believe he is likely to retain his title following a Champions League final victory and 23-game unbeaten run which is still going.
"He didn't do much in the World Cup, and in a World Cup year, the season is defined by that," Xavi told SPORT2014 Ballon d’Or shortlist: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Manuel Neuer
